The main issue(which was stated many many months ago as well) with Stoneleigh is that the maintenance program is lacking. Major electrical repairs take weeks to get fixed, and you have to follow up with them on a daily basis just to insure that they dont forget. Actually getting someone out to your apartment is a trial all of its own. Stoneleigh out-sources its larger scaled(specialty) jobs and that process is definately in need of some revamping due to incompetent contractors. These contractors are often used over and over, despite inadequate work and complaints. Somehow, the management team at Stoneleigh continues to give these contractors work. While property appearances are important to have, I would have appreciated my ceiling fans/electrical boxes working properly over the pretty flowers on the Macarthur side entrance. I would have also appreciated not having to be the one to follow up on every maintenance issue; sometimes going weeks without hearing anything from maintenance or management. Now, with all of that said, the employees at Stoneleigh are extremely friendly and courteous; If they could only find a way to transition that success over to the things that people(residents) really care about.

**Notes**
1.Stoneleigh at Valley Ranch is a decent looking complex, from the outside.
2.The mgmt of the property is competent, yet unreliable.
3.The parking is atrocious. If you have friends or family that even so much as drop by from time to time, this is not the apartment complex for you.
4.For the price, I can assure you that there are some better places to live than here.
5.Having someone smile at you and know your name is GREAT, but it isnt worth $1500 a month, which is pretty much all you will get at Stoneleigh.

I couldn't agree with you more. The management staff is granted very friendly, but I wish they new how to follow up and would do more than just say we will take care of it. I find it very insulting when they defend themselves for one reason or another of why they forgot or the maintenance staff forgot. Some times I wonder if there is anything behind the smiles and courteous staff, I don't believe I've seen much competence. I'm very frustrated with the office staff. Unfortunately a lot of times it is their bosses who leave them hanging with inadequate support. I know we will not live here when our lease comes up in September.
