since larimar has taken over there has been a few hickups with the property but mainly the gates. there are several restrictions in valley ranch about gated communities. Not allowing slide gates is assinine.
The staff (kam)is incredibly patient with some of my whinier neighbors.
I have been in the office several times when people complain about their cars being towed for parking in the fire lane. My advice to them, don't break the rules or the law and your car won't get towed!
They are working on getting the workout room redone and the hot tub redone but are at the mercy of contractors.
It really is amazing that people want new facilities and equipment but cant wait a few weeks for them.
The only downside to this complex is the parking, but nothing can be done about that.

Sadly, it's been more than a few weeks. The hot tub's been inoperative for well over a year. There are irrigation system leaks and broken sprinkers all over the complex, that have yet to be fixed or even acknowledged. The grills are still inoperative, again for over a year. The entry gates? Good idea, but maintenance to keep them working seems to be an ongoing ordeal. So I'm not surprised that they're perpetually open, now. And yes, someone on the Irving city council needs to get their head out of their rear, because sliding/rolling gates would work MUCH better than the ones we have, and probably cost less to maintain.
Larimar inherited a bunch of problems from the previous leasing company, yes. And they are trying. But my response to being "at the mercy of contractors" is to hire different contractors. If someone can't get there to do the work, then they shouldn't get paid.
And yes. Parking is, has been, and always will be a PITA. People will always park in reserved spaces, fire lanes, handicap spots, and even the "no parking" zones in front of the handicap ramps to the sidewalks. Which means people will be towed, and they'll complain. If you own more than two cars, you'll probably have to store one someplace else.
