This was a great complex when I moved in. The staff was professional, helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. The property manager changed around 1999 or 2000. The new manager (I believe her name was Carrie) was promoted from a leasing agent. She had no experience as a manager, and it showed. She learned little or nothing from the previous manager. The property and tennants suffered for it. The staff was obviously unhappy. Asking them for routine assistance was obviously quite a burden to them. When anything was attended to, It was done half-heartedly, and usually incorrectly. HUD started utilizing this complex, and the situation got worse. I saw more and more police cars patroling the complex, and I started hearing rumors of drug dealers on the premises. Groups of unattended children started playing in the parking lot and damaging cars (despite a great park across the street). Instances of vandalism increased until both the pool and the weight room were unusable.
