DO NOT MOVE HERE.

I know where you are coming from. I moved here 1 year ago and currently in the process of moving out. las colinas is a great area and the cabochon's location is great. I am trying to find something that looks similar, but here is my story with the cabachon.

I moved a year ago and was pretty happy and thought these complaints were coming from whinny people.

3 months later I submitted a work order, but received no response. I tried again 6 times, but no one showed up until now.

POOLS

It is now almost July and the pools are still dirty (the hot tub never worked and looks like an oil well). Pools maintenance is horrible and never gets done.
The management office recently decided to close the swimming pools, because of the noise. The noise was mostly coming from people crashing the people from outside the complex. Their action was to close the pools for the residents and send a letter that was far from professional to the residents. The residents responded by posting messages in the garages to other residents about the management's horrible track record. (This was not the first time this happened).

THE GYM

It is a good size compared to the others and has some nice equipment, but pay attention next time you take the tour. Most of these equipments are broken. Half the tread mills are not working. The rest of the machines were pretty much fixed and duct taped by the residents. Pay attention when you visit next time and you will see it all. The carpet has not been cleaned in years and it now stinks. The men's restroom was out of order for 4 months. It was reported, but an out of order sign was put on for months. Finally the AC is pretty horrible in there; you just need to walk inside for 2 minutes to work up a sweat.

THE PARKING

When I moved a year ago, I was told the garage was being gated. a year later, it is now gated, but most of the time the gate is broke and always open. The parking is clean for the most part and has 7 floors, but the elevators stopped working for few months once with no hope. They are working now.
The worst part of all is this parking is a shopping mall for robbers and trash. There is a break-in every week. Most of the residents had their cars broken into (you will get your chance, don't worry). I lost $2000 in parts from my car (not including the damage). I was a part of the 26 car break up that was on the news, but that is not all. This shopping spree has been going on for a while, 11 cars here, and 12 there. Some cars were broken into for no reason with nothing stolen from there. There were just damaged for the fun of it. So it does not matter whether you have a cheap or expensive car. it does not matter whether you have a highly modified car or a stock car. it will get its turn sooner or later.
Finally, the office goes out and gets a tow truck company to harass the residents. If you park your car outside for a few for an emergency, it is gone. Pizza cars disappear. I am surprised the ***** did not tow a cop s car yet. I always see pizza workers standing around on cell phones. I even saw someone screaming I need to get there now, this is an emergency, why did you tow it' I also heard *&^%^&%@, I have to be at the airport in 10 minutes . I know you shouldn t park illegally, but sometimes you have an emergency.

THE APARTMENT

Ladies and gents, if you are a bug fan and like the wild life, then move in ASAP. The apartments here come with a Varity of bugs. From giant roaches to spiders to things I don t even know yet. It is like a lab in here. Just like you, I read these comments in the past and thought these must be filthy people who don t maintain their places . Sadly, I was wrong. It does not matter how well you clean, maintain or spray. These bugs are here to stay. The AC filters are never replaced by the office regularly, bit even when you request. The building is shifting slowly and the bedrooms, bathrooms and closet doors are getting stuck slowly. There a lot of cracks around which explain how bugs are coming into the apartments.
the washer and dryer on my floor have been broke since i moved in and have not been fixed. i reported them to the office and to the maintenance office and still nothing. i unplugged them so no one can use them until they are fixed (takes your money, but does not work) all they did was plug them back in.

THE STAFF

I won t generalize. Some are pretty nice, but some are pretty rude. The leasing staff is nice for the most part, but the management staff has some bad seeds like the manager for example.
I have met some of the Ex-staff members and was told about their experience with the cabochon. They quit after giving up on the property and after they were tired of residents pointing the finger at them. Ask any apartment locator in the area and listen to the horror stories they have to tell you before you consider dumping yourself into this experience.

If you are still willing to lease here after this, then you are thinking the same way I thought a year ago. Trust me and avoid the headache.

To the Owners of this property, I hope you get your property in order soon before you lose it with no hope of coming back. Your property is becoming the eye sore of las Colinas. It will soon drive the prices of the rest of the properties around you down. If this is actually your goal, then you are doing a great job.

I couldn't agree more with all these comments. My car was broken into with nothing stolen. My car was towed twice. The first time I was parked outside of a space on the street to unload groceries in the rain. The car was literally parked for 10-15 minutes before being towed. My AC doesn't work properly and it took two weeks of calling everyday to get someone up to tell me there is nothing wrong with it. Funny my bill is $280 for a 600 sq. ft apt, it never cycles off unless I turn it off. Rude mgmt didn't even get me keys to move in when the movers arrived as they were supposed to. When I went back to the office for the 4th time that day, the girl had left for lunch and my keys were laying on her desk. This is the worst place I have ever lived. The only reason I moved here was the location and price. I'm out in November and won't be back. Thank God.

This is a very fair, well-written review. I lived here several years ago, and it was nice then. I wish I hadn't returned. Funny about cars being towed. Mine was towed last week, and, yes, it was parked outside the building during a quick jaunt up to the unit to grab something. So, technically, the tow troll was within his rights. The thing that burns me is that there is a resident in my building who consistently blocks other vehicles by parking in aisles or taking up multiple spaces. I've complained to management, and surprise, surprise - they've done nothing. I'm tempted to sue for discrimination - shouldn't all violators be equal targets for the tow trolls?
