My apartment was left in immaculate condition! I have photos to prove it and they charged me $90 for "carpet stains". Mind you I had the carpet cleaned at my own expense several times in the year that I lived there including the day that I moved out because they refused to come in and do routine maitenance. They also refused to change out the air filters.
The hallways and stairwells were discusting all the time, stains or spills were left for weeks.
It took weeks, multiple phone calls, and written threats to take care of any maintenance requests including: clogged drains, windows that would not open, garbage disposal broken, air conditioning vent that would not blow air (this alone took over 3 months to repair), and I wrote 4 letters, and finally had to fax the ownership and threaten legal action to get them to have a wasp's nest removed.
There is animal refuse everywhere even the sidewalks, because people that own pets are not monitored and the "dog refuse" areas are never equipped with bags.
BUGS BUGS BUGS, expect your apartment to be FILLED with bugs! You will be told these are "common" bugs to Texas however, I have never had an issue with them anywhere else I have ever lived.
Management is RUDE! Do not be deceived by the people who sign your contract you will never see them again. Instead you will deal with the management office, who will say "we'll call you back" and never do. (this is not an exaggeration I was never called back I usually had to call them and then they had no record of my request or previous call.
My packages were "lost" on more than one occasion in the office. I would go in and ask for my package and after a cursery look they would say they were not there. Then if I asked to look they refused. When I then took in proof that they were delivered and signed for on that day...the packages were begrudgingly located, and usually had been labeled with the wrong apartment number by whoever was checking the packages in.
Also the management office is only open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekdays. That is when most people are working so you will have to take time off or be late to work if you want to be able to pick anything up.
There are tons of other places to live in las colinas/irving...do NOT make the mistake of living here!
