after signing my lease with cabochon i came across this website, maybe it's too little too late for me but i'm staying optimistic about it. I plan on posting 1 - 2 times a month on how things are going with my new place here at cabochon... I have a little one so i hope he is safe and the experience is a better one than what's been written by everyone else!!! I will be living in phase II which i am hoping to be a little more dependable than phase I. If anyone has any input on the difference between phase I and phase II i would love to hear about it!
it is now March 2nd and I have been living here for over a month now. everything has been pretty good so far. the walls are a bit thin and i can hear my neighbors upstairs (cabinets closing, doors closing, tv, etc...) thats a big downfall. the tap water smelled a bit funny when i first started using the dishwasher but its fine now. no ants (i must be a lucky one) and no problems with leaking water or mold. i have a baby so trust me i check on that. i really have no complaints... ive ridden in the elevators and they work fine, i dont feel like im in an earthquake but then again ive only ridden in one of them. also it is true that the gates are left open a majority of the time but thats due to the current tenants placing bricks in the doorway or other objects to keep them from closing all the way, it could happen anywhere. overall i am pleased but i do have another 5 months of living here so i look forward to a new update in april to let everyone who reads these reviews know how its going.

I would not move in. I am so sorry that you are having to live here. There are plenty of nicer and cheaper apartments in Valley Ranch with is a few miles away. I would seriuosly consider not moving into this place.

Good luck sport... my lease ends in a few months and I WILL NOT be resigning. If it wasn??????t for the great deal they gave me and the ??????promise of change?????? I wouldn??????t have resigned after my first lease. Fact is this place is a DUMP and it??????s getting worse. If you??????re thinking about moving here please save yourself some time and try and different place. We all got suckered in by the ??????cool looks?????? and waterfront location?????? it ain??????t that ??????cool??????. Also, this place is turning ??????ghetto?????? if you know what I mean.

ya... i second the ghetto part.... getting a little "thug" around where i live...

Ha ha... these people are so funny. "thug"? LOL.. Well, I don't know if it's just the phase that I'm in but I've lived here for two years and I don't have any complaints yet. Yeah, the staff was struggling before, but I've lived in 5 different apartments since moving here after Hurricane Katrina and I love it here. They could definitely do better, but things breaking down is going to happen. ONe thing I found out is that most people who post online are usually really bitter and whiners. Most people are so negative that you're not going to find the positive people taking there time to go online to blog. I don't know what the other buildings are like, but I'm over here in the building with the dry cleaning down stairs and it isn't that bad. Things could be cleaner, but I know what else it out there for $600 a month and it isn't anything close to this. Good for you for getting your own opinion, and I'd recommend asking people that live around here what they think, vs. listening to bitter people online who we don't even know if they even lived here or not.
