First of all, please take note of the review posted on 10/2/2005.

It is completely fabricated. This is not an apartment complex that anyone would be sad to leave. Constant planes overhead, crime, poor upkeep, and terrible energy bills are not features that one would be upset on losing, in my opinion. Naming the manager by name'' How many people do that' If you notice, every single review on this site doesn't do that. Why would anyone care' When you do see employees listed and complemented by name, you're looking at a fabricated review. Sense of community'' Not here!

My experience: We moved in June 11th and stayed until November 20th, moving to north dallas to be closer to work. 1 hr. commutes down 635 are not fun. We lived on the third floor, which had numerous disadvantages.

#1: Tons of steps. Unsafe, slippery wooden steps. Not to mention tiny landings and dimly lit hallways. Great place to get mugged!

#2: Energy bills. Our electric bill averaged about $140-$150 a month. No, that is not a typo. We used very little energy - I even went through every electric device in the house to see how much it was consuming (turned off everything, turned on that device, went down to meter, checked readout w/ stopwatch). After adding it all up, we should have been paying at most $60 a month for our electric. I suspect that the heating / cooling system was very badly broken. And the apartment seemed to have an insulating factor that was not much above zero, unusual even for a top level apartment.

#3: Terrain. Everywhere you walked, you had to watch out to avoid tripping or spraining your ankle. Our parking spot was on a wonderful (not!) incline that made parking, and removing groceries from the car quite a pain.

#4: Noise. Trinity is right next to the DFW airport. As cool as it is to see a 747 right above your head, it's VERY HARD TO SLEEP THROUGH. Also, Esters rd. is apparently a major attraction for ricers and 'crotch-rocket' bikes, as they tended to zoom by REALLY, REALLY loudly from 9pm-3am almost every night without fail. And the occasional car with a stereo loud enough to rattle the windows.

#5: Staff. Apparently they employ based on the 'revolving door' concept. Every time I went to the office, new faces were there and old ones had vanished. I believe that only two employees were actually continually employed there for the entire duration of our stay.

#6: Crime. We did not experience any, but the place was not well lit and tended to make me feel uneasy. That takes some doing. I would not recommend walking around after dark without another person with you.

Cons: Painful and dangerous stairs, terrible electric bills, ankle-twisting terrain, tons of noise, no regular staff and probably on "Frommer's Guide to the Top Ten Places In Irving To Be Mugged At".

Pros: Um... Giant American flag out front for easy spotting of complex'
