I am writing every news station in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in hopes to get more media coverage for the meeting that is taking place tomorrow night at 7p. Make signs and show your support for each one of us that have been victims or soon will be if nothing is changed.

Here...couldn't upload it...but here is the text of the PDF... KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AS A TENANT As a tenant of Tuscan Villas, you are well aware of the burglaries taking place, and the lack of on-site property management???s involvement in resolving the issue. It???s our responsibility to take this matter into our own hands, and BE INFORMED of our rights. Did you know that: ??? Tenants have a legal right to organize. They may form, join, and participate in tenants' organizations for the purpose of protecting their rights. Landlords may not harass or penalize tenants who exercise this right. Tenants' groups have the right to meet in any common area in their building, such as lobbies and halls, in a peaceful manner, at reasonable hours without obstructing access to the premises or facilities. (Real Property Law ??230) *Therefore, the on-site management should cease removing tenant signs posted around the property. ??? Landlords are prohibited from harassing or retaliating against tenants who exercise their rights. For example, landlords may not seek to evict tenants solely because tenants (a) make good faith complaints to a government agency about violations of any health or safety laws; or (b) take good faith actions to protect rights under their lease; or (c) participate in tenants' organizations. Tenants may collect damages from landlords who violate this law, which applies to all rentals except owner-occupied dwellings with fewer than four units. (Real Property Law ??223-b) Another interesting point: ??? Landlords are required to take precautions to protect against foreseeable criminal harm. For example, tenants who are victims of crimes in their building or apartment, and who are able to prove that the criminal was an intruder and took advantage of the fact that the entrance to the building was negligently maintained by the landlord, may be able to recover damages from the landlord. *If you feel you have been neglected by the on-site property management then you may write a formal letter of compliant to them. Under Texas law, it is illegal for a landlord to retaliate against you for complaining. It???s time to GET INVOLVED. ??? Write complaint letters to the property management company, The Pauls Corporation ??? Patrol the apartment grounds ??? Organize watch parties with your neighbors ??? Call the police if you notice ANY suspicious activity ??? Contact the local media |

The maintenance removed the "Whoops It Happened Again" flyer also from the tenants' doors so they won't become aware of the tenants' concerns and the avenues such as this website to voice their opinions.

Formerly user03057: Since I can't post more than 1 response, i changed user names. Anyway, it's ok that they've removed them b/c it's just fueling the fire. I'm going to print out more and hand them out to people. ALSO...I've contacted several news stations and WFAA is already on board. All I have to say to the management is BRING IT. Once the public hears about the disregard for our safety and rights, they will know what this management company is about. Hopefully it will also send a message out the burglars still at large how serious we are about this issue and that we're watching them.

Since maintenance removed my first flyer before everyone had an opportunity to read it I will be printing it out again and posting them on everyone's door. I addressed this issue with Mgmt and they said they would not take it down as it is my right to post. Also for kicks I searched THE CANYONS apartment complex located in Ft. Worth that is owned by the same company as Tuscan Villas and and it had crappy reviews as well. Interesting.
