Call the Irving Police Department before you commit to living here. Ask if crime is particurlarly bad here in the Tuscan Villas parking garage. You will learn that this is a regular stop for thieves and vandals. Car break-ins on a regular basis, over a long period, several years. This apartment complex is a trap for late model car owners. I asked a police officer, who was writing break-in reports in his squad car just this week, how bad it was this time. "Seven or Eight this time, so far this morning." There was auto glass all over the place. This is not a rare occurance. Car burglaries happen here, regularly, often and in big numbers. The ownership of this property is not concerned for the safety or well being of the residents. The lack of regard on the part of the ownership is willful and outrageous, and at the end of the day, they will be the real losers. They run the property like losers now. This is a sad situation.

Another thing to make note is that the police records do not reflect the true numbers. They only report the ones that the owners follow up on. For example: This last time 10 cars were hit and 1 was stolen. But only 6 followed up with the police so they and the apt complex only report 6. Just in this incident alone 4 victims go unaccounted for. Oh, they supposedly have taken steps to help with the crime in the parking garage effective last Wed. but there still has not been any communication made to the other residents that were not able to attend the meeting on Friday night. NICE,huh?
