I USED TO like this place

Until my bike was stolen and my wife's car broken into. I went to the meeting after that incident a few months ago, and management's solution, as always, was "be vigilent, report suspicious activities." I'm sorry, but that is not a solution. Put in a damn gate. Or, even better, pay a guard $10/hour to watch the garage 24/7. That would cost $7200 a month, or around $20 per apartment per month. Or just have a guard from 7PM to 7AM, which would cost a measly $3600 a month or $10 per apartment (I'm not suggesting raising rent).
OR, give tenants a break on rent and have THEM volunteer to watch the garage. I'd be the first to sign up for the graveyard shift (if they don't do something now, "graveyard" might not be far off).
I just don't understand why they refuse to do anything to alleviate this situation. I can't wait until my lease is up.
