Our car was vandalized last night while parked in our $50.00 reserved parking spot. When we called to make our police report they stated to us their was another incident on a differnt level on the same night. To future prospective renters, I disuade you from chosing the Tuscan Villas apartment complex. It has a safety issue with non-renters randomly roaming the parking lot late at night and breaking into vehicles. This is possible because they do not have an entrance gate nor an exit gate, which suprises me because of the amount of rent we pay compared to less expensive apartments that have gates. They don't have security guards in the parking lot. Did I mention they do have signs that read they have surveillance cameras, but they only record the entrance and exit. They do not monitor the 1st floor, 2nd floor, 3rd floor or 4th floor garage levels, so if you do happen to be victamized make sure it happens right at the exit or entrance. Also, when we reported our incident to the front office all she could say was "Sorry" and conveniently forgot to mention the other break in that happened the same night.

I live in the Las Colinas area as well. There's a popular misconception in the DFW area that Las Colinas is a "nice" part of town. While that is true...it's only true relative to the rest of Irving. Las Colinas is like a little oasis in the ghettos...there's nothing to stop ghetto people from coming here and stealing and breaking into our property. Honestly if you have a beef about safety...it should be with the Irving PD...because every apartment in this area is susceptible to break-ins and vandalism. Which is precisely why I pay for an attached garage and double lock my doors everyday.
