Good overall experience

Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2001
We moved in to these apartments when they were still managed by Equity Properties. We were about to get married and wanted a more luxurious apartment to celebrate with. The management was great as was the office personell. All of our neighbors were wonderful respectable people. We never had a problem with any of them. The apartment itself was in good condition with a garden tub in the bathroom. The only problem we had was that our heater stopped heating one day and the maintenance staff was competant enough to know that the sensors needed replacing. Replaced and repaired. The AC stopped cooling a few times so they pumped in more coolant. Any issue we had was always promptly taken care of. We bounced a rent check in the midst of trying to buy a house, and it was handled professionally and non-judgmently. We paid for the remaining 5 months on our lease when we realized the check had bounced, so the late fee was waived. Equity sold this property shortly before we moved out. It was apparent that the "unseen" work Equity did was not being done. These are Spanish adobe style apartments and the new management, last we heard, wanted to paint them red. Trim began falling off from around out garage and the buildings seemed to have lost their luster. Not to mention the horribly snotty staff. All of Equity's office personell were fired after the new company came in. I'm not sure about the condition of these apartments now, but when we lived there for over a year, we had a blast. If you can afford the Valley Ranch rent and like small, but cozy spaces then this may be the place for you. We rented a one bedroom with office/den for around 1000 a month with a preferred employers discount.
