Going downhill....

We are fairly long term residents at Vista Pointe and in general and have liked the location, but it is getting less and less tolerable to stay here.
So, called "state of the art" gym is a total joke. Gym is small, unfresh (dirty) and half the machines broken and or unusable. Has been that way for at least last two years.
"Gated" community is not gated. Gate was continually being repaired and finally removed altogether.
Our apartment has a nice layout, but infested with ants. Kitchen materials are very cheap and shoddy workmanship.
Despite many requests to have our AC ducts cleaned over the past few years they have refused to do it. Black, sticky gunk in the ducts leaks out onto walls. Worse than that they claim that the ducts have been cleaned, but someone management or contractors is lying. How do I know that' Because the black gunk is still there and there isn't the slightest evidence that the grills have been removed from the walls.
AC is on constantly during summer despite machine being replaced about a year ago. Cannot get temperature under 80F during summer. Yes, we do clean the filter ourselves. $300 electricity bills.
Every year management try to push my rent up, but I have managed to keep it much the same as when I moved in. I thought that was good but now I have found out that I am paying about $200 more than what they are offering new tenants for same model apartment. I call this rent gouging. No very respectful to long term tenants.
25% of time repairs are dealt with quite promptly. 75% of time they are not and may be never dealt with.
Very easy to find higher quality apartments for same rent if you are prepared to stay outside Valley Ranch.

I have never had these problems at vista pointe. If these people were so unhappy why did they continue to stay so long at the property. You can't live somewhere for the same price for years. I am glad they moved. I have always gotten great maintenance service. Sounds like they did not keep up their own apt. My electric bill very reasonable. |

they have under rated a/c units and refuse to upgrade to a unit capable of cooling the non-insulated attick. building 723 is sinking and most units lean. outside workmanship is rotting and I have leaks when strong rains come. Denacrawford must have a 1st floor non west facing sun unit to have low a/c bills. robert q is right.
