I've only been here for a month or so and I absolutely loved the apartment the first week. The appliances are brand new, management seems great and everything works as it should with the exception of water pressure and temperature. The kitchen sink and toilet have really low pressure and the water suddenly gets so hot I have been scalded in the shower 3 or 4 times now. These things don't bother me that much but the second week the bugs started showing up. First doodlebugs which are mildy annoying but tolerable, then ants, then beetles, then spiders(big spiders), mosquitos, and finally WORMS!! All in that order. These are bugs I have never seen in an apartment with the exception of ants and the occasional mosquito. The worms have been the breaking point, I can't figure out how they're getting in and how they are surviving but everyday I see more and more. I sleep with lights on and leave them on when I go to work. I spray Raid on the carpet before I go to sleep which seems to work since I have found dead bugs the next day. I just recently finished unpacking and can't wait to move again, too bad I signed a year's lease. Other than the pest infestation this would be a really nice place.

Don't tolerate the pest infections. They will blow you off and probably not remedy the problem correctly. Take photos or videos and document everything. In Texas, if you want out of your lease, send your maintenance requests by certified mail. If the problem still does not get fixed, have them change your apartments or SUE out of your lease at small claims court, justice of the peace. They are located next to Irving city hall in case you need to file. I'm serious don't tolerate apartment management. Google "Texas tenants rights". Good luck.
