If you like paying between $30-$50 a month on a water bill when no apt in the complex has a washer/dryer connection this is the place for you!
EXTREMELY GHETTO APARTMENTS
The apts are not level. It feels as if you are walking up a hill when you walk across your living room.
Management from 1999-2001 was very poor as well as the maintenance. It would take maintenance an average of 3 times coming out to your apt before they could figure out how to fix a simple faucet. The my bath tub all leaked the entire length of my stay here. It was never fixed because maintenance didn't know how to fix it. They just began to ignore my complaints until I mentioned the phrase..."black mold".
I reported a clogged garbage disposal and when I returned home, I found food and soured water (soured because it took maintenance 3 days to come to fix a clogged disposal) spewed all over my ceiling and all over my cabinets. I had even left a note taped to the kitchen faucet NOT to turn the disposal on because it had spewed on me the night before. Obviously, reading is not a required skill to be employeed as a maintenance/repair person here. But in their defense they did try to clean up the mess they made with the spewed soured water by using all of my own personal good kitchen towels. They left them piled high on my kitchen countertops left to sour even more. I had to throw all my towels away and buy new ones because the smell just wouldn't come out.
Management would do nothing about noise complaints. 8 people were living in the one bedroom apt below me at one time. Of course in Texas, you are only allowed 2 adults per bedroom, but come one come all at this property.
The washer/dryers in the laundry room were old and when they did run, they didn't run well. The dryers blow nothing but cold air.
And let me not forget to mention the pipe bomb that was put inside of a news paper bin right outside my building - about 100 ft from my window. When it blew up, it rocked the walls of the entire building. The management didn't even send out a letter to the community explaining what happened or asking if anyone saw anything. Just another day beautiful day in the Ghetto Neighborhood.
