The staff is very nice...until you have a problem. Then they act like it is a major inconvenience to solve it. Our "luxury apartment" (that we pay 1,100 a month for) is INFESTED with silverfish! The management will do nothing about it. Pest control says it is not an issue of sanitation. But I already knew that, since we've had to store EVERY edible item in the house in a Ziploc container ever since I saw the first bug in the kitchen cupboard. We take our trash to the dumpster EVERY day and have no magazines or newspapers in the apartment (since I learned that they eat paper and other starchy items). We spent over $40 out of pocket to buy the silverfish baits the pest control person recommended. But all the Winsted managemtn staff will allow him to do is SPRAY the apartment. He admitted to us that spraying won't do anything to solve this problem. The bugs are INFESTED in the building. The only way we can get them to leave OUR apartment is to FOG, which the management now wants to charge us $80 to do. As renters, we are entitled to live in a HUMANE, SANITARY environment. And for the money we're paying, all we've gotten is a lot of pests and a lot of attitude. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE SIGNING YOUR LEASE!!!!
