I have just moved in and the frist night I moved in the apartment flooded. The window even leaks reall bad and has contiuned to get worse. The office and the manager have been informed of this a min of 5 times but still nothing and it has been over a month. The office is rude when you try to get the aprartment fixed. I would not recommend this place. The manager told me that they have problems with leaks.

The staff is nice most of the time and try to be helpful as much as they can. We saw at least one other apartment that had the same leak in the window and was told by the manager that the other that they were going to show us had a leak in the fireplace. These were all the same floorplan. The manager allowed us to move into another floorplan that did and has not leaked in the window and does not appear to ever flood since we are now at the top of the hill. It took alot of work and about a month and a half to get this resolved. The manager did try to help but like us was often upset at the issue.

Well dont feel bad because The Summit @ Norstar has the SAME PROBLEM. First off, whn I came to view the apt, the STAFF was so kindly enough give us the key and point us in the direction in which we needed to go. 2nd off the apt that was leased to us has leaks in the window and the floor. When I notified maintenance, they said "oh its just the sprinkler" That was it... Thw window has a HUGE leak in it which apparently cannot be fixed. I assumed the prior resident notified the office. They want you to pay rent on time and no resolution when it comes to maitenance repairs. All they do is ride around on the golf cart and do NOTHING!!!!!

I think the root problem to all this nonsense is the poor attitude from the management staffs.Though most of its units is great when compare to the other nearby estate,the poor services from the management stuffs will eventually tarnish the reputation of the Winsted.For those who sing praises of Winsted,I guess your are lucky to have your current unit that no have much problem. For me,it a case of bad choice, exacerbate with the fact of having to deal with the unhelpful management.
