I lived at LOSG from Oct-01 to Sept-03. My apartment had a 750sf/1 bdrm with garage. There has been some staff turnover but several key people have been there for over two years.

I have been really impressed with the quality and competency of the maintenance staff. John always leaves a note and business card when he's done work on my place. I've never trusted maintenance workers but John is an exception. Amanda, the bookkeeper is really nice and fair too. The new manager - Rachel - seems on the ball.

On the downside the demographic has started to skew away from older professionals and families. I started noticing more college kids in 2003 and the complex started getting trashier. It's not bad but the class of people is lower than in 2001. There are a few Harley riders in the complex and when they come and go you'll know it. I noticed the walls were a little thin. I could hear my neighbor's phone ringing and the muffled sounds of conversations. That was a key factor for my moving. I assume the ceilings are the same way but I was on the second floor. Check the width of the stairwells also. Moving furniture in and out was a pain.

If you have an SUV you might have to pull your mirrors in to fit in the garage. Crime hasn't been a problem either. I watch the paper constantly and it's been rare to have something occur on the property.

The business center is junked up with kids chatting on the internet so don't expect much use from that. The exercise room is spartan but I've never seen it get crowded.

I'm currently dealing with the results of thin walls. When my neighbors above me have sex. My daughter and I experience the movement and sounds coming thru the walls. I've notice this is common. What are my rights. I'm poor.
