My lease just recently ended December 31, 2007 at Lake Wood Manor. I paid my rent on time every month never complained & keept to myself, but yet my deposit was sent to another person & a diffrent address. Once I finally got everything straighten out the landlady didn't even give me my entire deposit back; I spent 3 days scrubbing the apartment and in my opinion it looked better when I left than it did when I moved in it. The rent is very low priced and thats probably the only good thing about the place. I was only there for 6 months and there were many problems that occured. Someones car's window was busted out, the police were always there, I went to check my mail one time and there was a copperhead snake that they were trying to kill in the bushes, the pool was always green & never cleaned, my dishwasher never worked & the first night we were moving in the fan came crashing down it was stripped from the wiring from the ceiling. I wouldn't live at these apartments if my rent was free. The landlady loses everything & is never there. I was just not impressed at all with the place & think for the high price of other apartment in Kilgore I wish I would have lived there instead, my experiance was terrible.
