This will be the last time I edit my review on these apartments. The last time i reviewed, on March 1st, I was the only to have written once since like 2007. Unfortunately, it's still the same way. I was hoping that others would also share their recent experiences. Anyways, as much as I truly love these apartments, our neighbor's bad habit (SMOKING) is just too much of a problem. The smell is especially strong in the bathroom, and it lingers into the bedroom and living room. My husband and I would try closing the bathroom door, but once someone needs to use it, opening the door is like dropping an atomic bomb of foul, disgusting cigarette odor. It's about 100 times as worse. So we've run out of ideas. We have been looking into other apartments that are safe, affordable, nice, roach-free AND allow certain dogs; needless to say, that search is going to last longer than it takes for our lease to lend so we are considering moving into the renovated apartments. Hopefully, the renovated construction doesn't allow cigarette smoke to penetrate to the neighbor's apartment. And for the record, my husband and I tried solving this smoking problem with our neighbor first, but she would refuse to open the door (we knew she was home, hence her car and seeing shadow movements through the peep-hole...ooops!!). Other than an inconsiderate neighbor, I would definitely recommend these apartments; especially if you smoke, it can just be one big, smoking apartment complex family! But if you don't and smoke causes you upper respiratory problems (like myself), I would recommend either looking elsewhere or making sure management sees to it that you are not next to a smoker. Also, if you want even a dog, this is not the place either, sadly. Management is not the friendliest, specifically the ------- American lady, but the good thing is that these are not dormitories with her as our Resident assistant, if you know what I mean.
