Nothing special but way over priced.

The Stone Creek Apartments managers do a good job in the appearance of the complex; but that's where the specialness of this complex ends. If you live in either of the apartment clusters near the complex entrance (bldg 1 or 2) you will have to get used to the roar of the Trimmier Road traffic.

It's a true statement that you will receive one covered parking space but don't expect it to be the closest one to your apartment. There is no organization to how the parking spaces are assigned to the apartments and the sprinkler system will still keep portions of your car just as wet as if you didn't have covered parking at all.

As I mentioned earlier; the complex managers do a great job in ensuring that the lawn maintenance people keep the area attractive, but... after the grass is cut the sidewalks aren't cleaned off very well. This leads to to grass and such being tracked into apartment. I know that this seems petty but for the prices that we tenants are charged we should get better.

The apartment maintenance team tries their best but I honestly believe that may be a little out of their league here. I had an instance where my ceiling fan in my bedroom stopped working. I submitted the required work order and was told that it would take four days to replace the fan switch. On the fifth day I decided to take it apart and fix it myself.

I know that this is outside of the Apartment complexes control; but mail delivery here has been a source of discomfort too. Multiple complaints have been filed with the local Postal Service and there has been no improvement. Sometimes the postal carrier that covers the apartments just "doesn't feel like" carrying the packages into the apartments office; which means you don't get them. Maybe, someday, this will be fixed but it's been an ongoing problem for the past year.

The topic that I've circumvented that causes me the most heartburn with this complex is the cost. I recently switched my contract option to month to month and, as expected, my rent went up $50. That's not too alarming but what has made me uneasy are the "rate increases" that have been applied to me. I've had two in the past three months. This brings my total rent to $810 a month for a 575 square foot apartment. That's $1.41 per square foot! For a 10 year old apartment at that!! Add to this the cost of utilities and it's definitely reason to look into the newer complexes in the area that have similar and even lower rent prices.

I think that the Managers and Maintenance teams do a really nice job. I have lived at Stone Creek for a total of 8 years and have not had a problem. They do have rate increases but come on they are not that bad. I have only went up either $5.00 or $10.00 each time I had to renew. If you live in a nice place you tend to pay more. I went Month to Month and Yes I too paid the $50.00 month to month fee and also the rate of the apartment. So What, that is in the lease. I also was told by the leasing person at the desk how it worked at the time. From: Longtimer

I have been a tenant in Stonecreek three times. This is how it sometimes work with deployments and other assignments. I have read the reviews and found I needed to respond to this one. I think it sounds like someone that didn't get their waoy or didn't read the contract. I know where I am always going to live when the military sends me to Ft. Hood!

First, I want to say that most of those 'anonymous' posts are from Stone Creek Management. As a renter there for the last 7 months, I am going to suggest that you find anywhere else. The office manager is a rude, gossipy old lady who thinks that it is appropriate to comment on your personal mail and life in general. In addition, the apartments are well kept, but grossly over-priced. The amount of deposits differ per person and are not based on credit scores- It's more based on their perception of you. The amenaties offered are not ones you will receive: the pool is always locked, as is the weight and pool rooms. What use is that to you if you cannot use them? Furthermore complaint letters are posted from that manager complaining about tenants and issues the complex is having. It may look nice from a distance, but remember: I warned you!
