My husband and i moved in when my daughter was 2 months old and only stayed three months. We were told the unit we would be movin into was not ready but they did show us a different one, we signed our lease but did not know that we wolud be living in hell for the next three months. When we were moving our things in my husband noticed mold on the wall around the ac closet, we asked them to remove the sheetrock and replace it. They came and painted over it. Our two month old daughter started having problems breathing over the next couple of days so we took her to the hospital and they told us to stay with a friend and call the health department to come evaluate the apt. We did and the health inspector said that they could not inspect apartments without permission for the office because the managment has a contract with an inspector of their choice. He did tell us to write a letter to the complex asking to have it fixed and have it sent certified mail and once they signed for the letter they have 10 days to respond or we could sue them so we sent the letter and on the last day they came to our door and left a note saying that it would be fixed the next day. They fixed it and we thought our problems were solved,,,,, we were way wrong everything started breaking: the fridge, the dishwasher, the kitchen flooded because of a backed up pipe, the bathroom faucet dripped, the toilet constantly ran. I filled out work request for everything and nothing was fixed except for our flooded kitchen they cut a hole in the wall and replaced the pipe, then put our daughters play pen back infront of the hole we found it a week later. This was all in the first month. There were 3 shootings causing 1 death. They went through managers like I go thrugh socks. An LJPD officer hid between his car and our sliding glass door with his gun drawn because some teens had a gun pointed at him telling him "leave and mind his own business if he knows whats best for him" we left after the men were arrested and stayed with my father in law for two weeks while we found a new place to live. we broke lease and I asked if I could have a copy of all the work requests I filled out (because I was going to use them to get out of paying our lease termination fees that ended up being about $1800.00 ouch) and one of the 5 new managers they had pulled my file and the only thing in there was rent recipts. Those crazy people threw them away. The only person that stayed with the complex was Irene and she is completely worthless. I really would not recomend this complex to anyone unless you are looking for somewhere to live sell and do drugs because thats all that goes on there, we ordered PIZZA HUT and the delivery driver told us that most drivers wont go past the entrance they make you meet them.

If they have the same owners as when I worked there, then it's the owners that won't do anything, they're from another country and think that US laws don't apply to them. I had to file a suit with the Texas Workforce commission in order to receive all my wages after THEY defaulted on my contract by going back on what they had promised to pay me. I won by the way.
