CANT WAIT TO LEAVE

Have lived here for 4 years, THANK GOD I'M LEAVING. Maintenance is terrible ever since new owners, when you do put work orders in takes days to weeks to get done (seriously no joke) or they forget and make you feel like your bothering them to get it finished.
They won't let people renew lease for more then 6-7 months then do 10%-15% increase every time. Chimneys were torn off during the hurricane, which is to be expected only problem they don't tell people who move in not to start fires. Already have had 2 new renters do just that and had fireman tearing off the plastic to put out the fires (then they release a notice stating that not to start fires and SAYS is the 2nd notice, probably for legal reason, I'm guessing).
Noise is just like all have said before me you hear everything from cars, stereos, machines to babies, animals, arguments and sex. People leave trash bags out-front of their apartments which raccoons get into and spread around, drugs are smoked on balconies with no remorse, beer bottles shrewd on the grass frequently and a couple late night drunk fights outside yelling their heads off. NONE OF this kind of activity occurred during last owners and if people did would have got kick out, not so anymore.
Tow trucks stalking the parking lots at 2am to tow cars for expired tags or people visiting. These people wake up to find vehicle is gone and have to call police to find out what happened, have seen tow truck do it many times and heard firsthand accounts of people thinking there car was stolen while they try to get to work.
The apartments are 30 year old construction and built on stilts which have sunken over time which has played havoc with the flooring, like walking up and down hills in your apartment. Is also why so many people have problems with sliding doors and screen doors since the building has shifted over time warping the entire structure. Truly everything is sinking on this site even the huge power boxes has sunk 2 feet protruding out the ground like its being swallowed alive. The new owners are trying to put lip stick on a pig by replacing certain cracked concrete beams, leveling the floors in the apartments and adding wood but not to level the structure of the buildings which is the problem in the first place.
This place only cares about making more money not providing a decent life style. An electric bill from this place alone is a reason not to move here, cold during the winter, very hot during the summer, insulation is beyond terrible. I only have put up with it this long for the neighborhood and the low cost, but no longer is it worth it.
Again I have lived here 4 years and rent has gone up every lease term, but under the current owners they restricted lease to only 6-7 months to force the rent up faster to pay for all the lipstick on the pig. At the same time offer new leases to new residents for 12-13 months then once is time for renewal they only offer 6-7 to increase rates faster.
Oh by the way when you do get your new lease they give it to you on the 60th day before your lease is up and you have to provide 60 days written notice on intent to move out, so you only have one day to decide if you want to pay the rent increase or be fined.
Management has no problem lying straight to your face here now.
