There is a way to be professional and then there is just very un professional and the current assistant manager is lacking in customer service skills. I have lived at the Fairways for almost a year (Oct 2008 will be a year) now and have had numerous problems...starting with the apt. was not clean and ready upon move in...constant roach problems (have asked for the gap in door of frame to be fixed numerous times), patio door not opening and closing properly..gated community: and the gates have only worked properly maybe 4 out of the 11 months that I have lived here....ect. However, I am not one to usually complain recent events with the rude office staff has changed my mind. Hurricane Ike has just devastated our community about two weeks ago and although The Fairways had minimal damage they have treated us as though nothing has happened...It does'nt matter that we have been out of work for two weeks or that we had to evacuate our apt. and return to a mold infested place to live...All that seems to matter to them is that they get what they need now and whatever you (I) may need they will get to it when it is convenient. I pay a lot of money to live in a place where I am boldly threatened and disrespected and that is unacceptable. I would not recommend this property to anyone who is looking to rent in the Clear Lake/League City area.

What bldg. # has the mold? Is it a condo problem or a garage problem?Which floor, first, 2nd, or third? Flooding, or from ceiling damage due to possible Ike roof damage? Wall, carpet, flooring, or cabinetry mold? Insurance adjusters are going thru as fast as time and conditions will permit. Please post a target site for them.
New management is under tough conditions, with nerves a bit frayed as they are dealing with: getting up to speed in general as it is a new property to them, dealing with the previous poor PR conditions of the former management team/s, damage from Ike (although minimal)while trying to address these damages with insurance companies, the frayed nerves and needs of old tenants who weathered the storm or who have just returning, coupled with copious amounts of move-ins leading to almost 100% occupancy (due to current housing needs of the area),and responding to the inquiries of owners who are concerned that their tenants and condos are okay. Lots of responsibility in a short amount of times. They must feel tied and quartered!!! LOL. No I am not management. Just hearing the buzz of the chaos of the League City area. Overall it is a tense time for all concerned. Hope things get better quickly for everyone in the area. Hearing things are getting better daily as clean up, movement has begun. Good luck to you.

The problems of this apartment complex started long before hurricane Ike. I have lived here for almost 18 months now and the problems are the same as they have been. There have been 3 management companies that have been here since I've lived here, each one worse than the one before. I am counting the days until my lease is up.

I'm dumbfounded with the fact that we have "no" contact point with upper management to assist us in getting the lower management to hire a maintenance staff. It's apparent to me after waiting months to get even simple repairs done that The Fairways have NO maintenance staff what so ever! I moved into an apartment that was, let's say, not ready and have been waiting for three months for the inital repairs to be fixed but to date haven't recieved anything but one excuse after another! Surely we as tenants have some recoures's other than letting them get away with this! Aren't there any legal agencies out there that can fource the so-called manager running this place to get these repairs up to date! Some of the repairs needed are totally stupid. A cieling fan mounted on a ten foot ceiling with a two inch pull chain. How stupid is that! A patio door that taked a bull dozer to open! Carpets with soap residue that make the kitchen tiles disloage and stick to your feet! Not Funny !!!! A garage door operner that was supose to be replaced in two weeks but hasn't yet even though it has been almost two MONTHS !!!! We pay a fair amout of money for these apartments. Wouldn't you think we should be given a fair amount attention in return? I'm at a loss as to what recourse I have and would love any input that might help the poor standerds of living we are fourced to live in.

Regarding Anonymous asking about building and unit numbers. I would also be suspicious about that person working at the Fairways, however I have not met anyone who works here who would care enough to ask let alone mentally capable enough to construct such a letter.

im a tenant at these apartments and everything you guys say is true. ive had to deal with the f****ing roaches and maintenance issues as well. my air conditioner is constantly f***ed up which really really pisses me off, considering the temperature never drops below 60 degrees in this part of the state.
