I usually try to do the whole "positive-correct-positive" thing, but I've lost all patience with this management company. Since the first day I moved in, dealing with a certain girl in the office(and one minute with her and you'll know who I'm talking about) has been like trying to deal with a petty teenage girl who doesn t think I m popular enough to help. She constantly talked down to me, calling me "Honey" and "Sweety" like I'm 5 years old or something. She never took any of my issues seriously and tried to blame all HER short-comings on someone else.

**For example, I kept getting letters saying I had a balance of some sort and that they would evict me if I didn't pay the remaining balance, and not one person in the office could show me a receipt or anything showing me WHAT exactly it was I was short on paying(because I have duplicates in my checkbook. It's not like I can't make sure I pay the correct rent, for crying out loud!). So when I asked **this particular girl** she said, and I quote-- "I don't know. I just work here." I mean...how do you reason with that''... As it turned out, it was a clerical error on their part...BIG surprise...

I was there for a year and they STILL didn t know my name. Coming from a complex where the management learned my name and knew my story from the day I signed the papers, and still say hi to me when I see them, I can really appreciate how important it is to feel like your landlords really do care about you and your issues. Especially when you live alone!

And don t even bother getting a covered parking space. They don t monitor them closely enough. I only had my space for TWO MONTHS and someone else parked in it THREE times. When I went in to tell them about it, they told ME to call a tow-truck wanting to put ME in the scary situation of having someone threaten my life because I had their car towed(even though I was paying THEM $35 a month to protect it). No thank you!!

I lived in a one bedroom by myself, and I enjoyed living in the apartment itself
because it's nice and there are lots of built-ins and nooks for all my things that make me not need so much furniture. It s very pet-friendly, and the prices are a bit high but reasonable. It would be a great place to live if I never had to deal with the idiot management.

This comment is for the person who wrote the first response to this review. (I suspect this is not the first time he/she has responded to other reviews in this manner) I am certain that you are part of management or somehow associated with them. Either way, it is inappropriate for you to attempt to belittle or minimize people's complaints. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and a review based on their experience. Your time is better spent reading more self-help books.

Actually, I lived there from July 07-July 08 so it was before Ike. So there really wasn't anything keeping her from doing her JOB correctly. AND I did put notes on the FIRST two cars parked in my space. It wasn't until the third one that I informed the office. Just for the record, all three cars were different. And when I did tell the office, this particular girl said to me, "Well this doesn't usually happen..." I mean...come on. After ONE time she can say that to me. But three times in TWO months???? Um YES. It DOES usually happen...

Have you considered putting a note on the windshield of the idiot that is in your space? Let the person know it is not okay or perhaps give them the option of an outrageous rent amount, paid directly to you, for the space, paid in advance for the remainder of your stay, or by the month, with 3 months in advance. The management person is new, correct? Dealing with Ike victims, learning everyones name at once, etc.? They have lots on their plate so perhaps it is just an oversight that she can't remember your name. Overwhelm can play tricks. At least she is calling you endearing names. Probably has to kick her dog every night just to get thru this stressfull time in her career. LOL! Word has it the former management co. is not giving them full info. Have you read the book "How to win friends and influence people"? It is a really good read to pretty much receive everthing you want in life. People always remember people with intelligent, impressive good manners and behavior while being direct in their requests. Good luck to you.
