Woman Questioned About Man's Stabbing
Police: Stabbing Might Have Been Act Of Self-Defense
POSTED: 9:23 am CDT April 10, 2006
UPDATED: 10:33 am CDT April 10, 2006
HOUSTON -- Police suspect a man being stabbed inside a League City apartment on Sunday was the result of an argument between him and a woman.
Officers with the League City Police Department said a man was stabbed one time in the chest during a dispute with a woman at about 9:45 p.m. inside a Jordan Cove apartment on F.M. 517 near Interstate 45, the Gulf Freeway.
LifeFlight transported the man to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.
Police believe the woman might have stabbed the man in order to defend herself. Officers took the woman into custody for question, but she has not been charged with a crime.

I am a former tenant at this apartment community and I have to say it was the worse experiance I have had. LifeFlight was there a total of 6 times in the year that I lived there, crime rate in the complex alone grew, and mold was out of control in all rooms of the apartment. I have three children and do not recommend anyone to live there. I would tell people as they came in that it was not worth living there and would discourage them to the point they would leave before even seeing an appartment. Ants were also an issue and broken glass everywhere in the parking lot. My kids were not allowed to go outside and play due to my 4 year old son cutting his foot on a shard of glass from a budweiser bottle laying in the parking lot next to our car. Please, anyone with any sense, DO NOT RENT from these apartments.

ok I can agree with sylvester5 because I have been there for 2 years and I need an SOS. I have 1 month left and its a wrap. The mold in those apts is out of control and they will lie to get you to lease by telling you they fixed the problem. I have been sick atleast 20 times since I have been living here and it's been because of the mold. They just told me oh clean it with tilex and it will go away and never come back. Guess what?? It's back and worse then ever. The change management like every other month around there so they are never up to speed with past months. Every itme they change management some new rule comes into place. They can't even get the amount of rent thay want their tenants to ay right. They tell you all you owe is $xxx.xx this month including water and cable and then you turn around and have a notice on your door telling you how you did not pay $xx.xx this month and you need to be out within two days of us giving you this notice. Get this they are trying to put me out for 12.88 after they told me all I had to pay was 589.00. That's ok 30 more days for me. As far as the stabbing she did what she had to do it could have happened any where and as far as other crime its pretty much under control. The only time they had break in problems was when everybody left for hurricane Rita. If you want to stay here good luck management will be your best friend to get you to sign a lease and after you sign you enter hells gates.

my comment to you is to call helth inspectors out to the property and show them the mold infestation. I am planning on moving to the apartments soon and hope i do not have as bad of an experiance as yall did. Also about the crime rate, notify the local athourties and find out why there is no curtosy officer! Did you recieve a monthly bill statment if you did all you are required to pay is in the statment. If you get a notice saying you need to pay more, save your reciept (you are not so smart if you dont have reciepts) and then take the statment and reciept to the front office. They can not legally make you pay more than what is stated in your lease! If they break any part of the lease they are responsible for, then take legal action! that is all there is to it my friends!

el_T if it was only that easy.....Do you think if thats all we had to do was complain to the police dept and the health dept and save our receipts, there would be problems with any apartment complex. I have a feeling you are in for a rude awakening

Jordan Cove is a lovely place to live! There are social gatrherings for neighbors to meet each other and the staff and this staff truly cares about the residents. The property has no vacancy for a reason!!!!

There is no vacancy because they take anyone and everyone. There is no discremination. The trashiest people are moving in. People have parties and leave beer bottles and cig ashes everywhere. the dumpsters have trash sitting in front of thema t all times. The smell is horrible. Event the stairways and entry ways of buildings smell. I dont think the buildings have been cleaned by maintenance in years. I hold my breath to get to my apartment. I am stuck here for like 6 more months. I cant wait till I am out. Crime is bad. Breakins and car burglaries and drugs are a huge problem. Many drug deals are going on all hours of the night. By the time the cops come the deal is done. My kids do not go out and play. Its a bad place to live. You hear your neighbors below, beside you, and above you. Management will always say they will fix the problem, but I have been here for around 5 months and have yet to see one of my request to clean up be made. Also there is a huge roach problem in each building and yet management acts like they have no idea. All buildings need to be exterminated at the same time. I am concerned for the health of people with the way some of these buildings smell. I do not reccommend anyone live here till management and maintenance make a step to better this community. One day maybe it will be a good family oriented community, but for now its a bad drug ridden community

I have never been treated so rudely in my entire life, I came to check out the property and was yelled at by Robert, a maintenance person on the property. I would recommend highly not moving here unless you like to be treated like crap, I didn't even make it in the entrance before he started yelling at me and would not move his golf cart so that I could move my car and leave, it was ABSURD! Then when I went into the office to get the phone number for corporate I was given a number that is out of service, I mean, really?? wow! I would have to rate this place thumbs down to the max, if you can find somewhere else to live you should!!!! very very very unprofessional.
