I lived there for over five years.

I did not see the room before I moved in because I was moving from out of state.

The rent was higher than I was told by my apartment locater since they prepared a room on the 2nd floor, with a pool view.

They said they could prepare a room on the 1st floor.

That unit?s rent was the same as I was told by my apartment locater (no view).

My friend suggested that I should take a room with a view since the first floor unit was very close to the entrance, and he worried about the safety.

Parking: Never had any problems.

They eventually built a covered area, and I parked there.

I had never been told to pay for it.

Noise: About once a year, some resident have pool party till late at night, loud, drinking beer, etc.

I had to call the police.

The apartment holds their own party around the pool once in a while, and you can hear music.

However, they do not do it till late at night, of course.

Except the inconsiderate residents? late night pool party, it was OK.

Safety: There is a gate (more like a check point) and a guard is working during the day, but the gate is often broken at night.

The apartment is not surrounded by gate.

You can walk into the premise easily.

However, I never had any security problems.

I sometimes left my wallet in my car overnight, but nobody broke in my car.

I know that at some apartment, if you do that, your car will definitely be broken in.

Overall, I can say the place is safe.

Maintenance: Often times, I had to call the office more than once till something got fixed.

However, once the maintenance man came, the problem is fixed.

Bug problems: Lots of silver fish.

Occasional roaches, but that is normal for Houston area.

Surrounding area: You can walk to the fitness club next door.

Blockbuster is within walking distance.

Grocery store is very nearby.

Before I moved out, I cleaned the room as much as possible.

They did not charge me for anything.

The rent was high, but overall, it was OK.
