There are a lot of good things about this complex; however, there are also some problems. The management is rude and not helpful at all. The appliances in the model apartment were all new, but in my apartment, they were old. The air conditioning did not cool well. It ran constantly and my electricity bill was outrageous. Maintenance came three times and the problem never got solved. So I was stuck with a hot apartment and a high bill. The security officer that operates the gate is there from 6am to 6pm. After that, it is supposed to stay closed. However, every night around 6:20, the gate is opened. I asked about this and was told it was due to "those punk kids!" Why wasn't this problem corrected' From 6:20pm to 6am, anyone can just come right it. So much for a gated community! In addition, when I applied at another apartment complex, I was not notified to fill out my notice to vacate. I did this on my own. The apartment I was moving into did not receive the paperwork they needed and called the Palms to send it over. The Palms told them I never even filled my notice out! I had to call the Palms and talk to them and of course they denied the whole thing! I really think all of the problems are due to poor management. The apartment itself is nice but the management ruins it.

I completely agree. I had to take the initiative to contact the office asking about my renewal. I got one renewl form saying on price then another 3 days later $185 more than the one before! But of course, the first one was void... It was only 15 more than my usual rent. Then when I turned in my 60 notice 5 day eary.. Tina got pissy with me because I had dropped it off early. I think the staff is very unhappy with themselves to be treating their residents so mediocre.
