I signed my lease at 6pm on a Friday and went to my new home only to find the apartment they gave me had not been touched since the last guy moved out. I assumed the previous tenet was a guy, because he left most of his belongings! Moreover, he smokedinsidea lot. The place wreaked of cigarettes, the carpet was disgusting the ceiling fans were missing fan blades and ALL of the window blinds were in disrepair. I was speechless when I went back down to the leasing office at 6:05pm after several minutes of disbelief. I was told regardless of the condition of the apartment I had a legal obligation to honor the lease I had signed and that they would do what they could to clean the apartment. It took them until 10am the next morning to get someone to clean the place, which because of the amount of cigarette smoke didnt really do anything. Moreover, the refrigerator had some kind of microbial growth. The only way I could get them to replace it after two months of complaints was to show them results of lab studies I had done at my work and threatening to report it to the Dept. of Health. I could go on and onDont believe the obvious Aimco management reviews given below. The city of League City or the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce should revoke their license to do business. This place is the single biggest blemish in the Clear Lake Area.
