Its not necessarily managements fault, however; this building is very old and it is INFESTED with roaches. I dont think you believ me when I say INFESTED. I live in Bldg 12 and Im one of two residents left in that bldg because everyone else has left due to how bad the pest problem is. Management has been helpful in letting me break my lease, but, like anywhere, no one really seems to care. Ive been sleeping on me couch for the past week because I found a roach in my bed. They used to be all over the kitchen, now theyve dominated the kitchen, bathrooms, my bedroom and the living room. I have a 7month old little boy and the other morning, i had him on the couch with me and it was kind of dark, so i didnt see it right away, but, I noticed something on his face and it was bothering him and when i looked closer it was a small cockroach, i freaked out and has a nervous breakdown. I know the apartment complex can only do so much by sending Orkin but, these are NOT acceptable living conditions. Shoot, these damn roaches should pay rent as many as there are. My baby has just learned how to crawl and its freakin sad that he cant crawl in his own home because he may pick up an insect. I can't stand this. I have 30 days left here and I dont know how Im going to do it. I cant sleep, im always checkin on the baby to make sure no bugs are in the crib, i clean 24/7 to try and keep them away, spray my own pesticides, go through gallons and gallons of bleach, I dont even cook anymore, because theyve invaded my entire kitchen, im throwing EVERYTHING in my kitchen away. I cry every night because of how miserable i am here. i cant wait to get out of here. I would only advise for you to stay away from bldg 12. BTW, i was shown another bld to move into but that one was infested too =/ Thats ridiculous.Ive never been so miserable and stressed out by simply living in an apartment complex. PLEASE especially IF YOU HAVE KIDS do not move here. These apartments have a SERIOUS insect problem & they dont care to fix it. Now that I am looking into a new apartment i am DEFINITELY reading the reviews. I HOPE U DO THE SAME before deciding to move here. I am not complaining about staff, just saying that I dont feel they care very much, but i AM COMPLAINING about their roach problem that they dont seem to care to fix. No one should be ran out of their home because of insects, but, i guess in this case its different. Good luck apartment shopping! Try Chapel Hill, ive lived there before and their gorgeous =)

I know exactly what you mean!!! I have been here for about 13 months now, and my lease is up in march...i can't wait to get out!! I live in bldg 11, and my apt is infested with ants!!! I had them come out and spray, and 1 week later, they were back. I have a 18 month old son, and i am so afraid he's going to get into the ants and have all these bites on him. I also had a big hole in my ceiling due to a leak in the roof, and it took them 4 weeks to come patch it up...and they even left it there for christmas!!! The saying, "you get what you pay for", that is so true! I am definetly moving. I think paying $200 more a month is definetly worth it...cuz these apts are so old!!
