i travel for my job, stayed at chapel hill for 3 months, a corporate apartment. had to pick an apartment from Michigan - looked at many of the local complexes, chose chapel hill because of the two doggie parks. on that note... there are a lot of non-responsible pet owners who dont clean up after their pets even though chapel hill provides pick up bags. when i first moved in, my wash machine didnt work, didnt get a replacement for two weeks - keep in mind i am paying a corporate apartment rate (not cheap!) i left many calls with office staff and maintenance - none returned. office staff is stuck up. landscaping is awful - a lot of muddy areas, no grass. a lot of the outdoor lighting not working. apartment itself was nice. my apartmet backed up against a busy road, which was kind-of loud if you have your windows or sliding glass door open on nice days. they offer curbside trash pick up every day, which they say is a perk... all i see is trash outside every day. parking is difficult especially when moving in and out with a uhaul and or trailer - no place for oversize vehicles
