As far as apartments go, my wife and I are really easy to please. I have never complained anywhere about another apartment complex. Chapel Hill has done nothing but run us around from day 1. As part of our agreed terms, we were supposed to get 1 covered parking spot. It even says it on the documentation that was written for us. After we moved in, they changed their tune, and told us we weren't entitled to a covered spot. We fought and fought for 6 months, and then finally got frustrated and gave in. We paid more money for an apartment with a "view", but they failed to tell us that that "view" was of all the parties that go on at the pool every night, and the noise was endless, so basically we paid more money to have our sleep interrupted. The best surprise came when we moved out. We had never spilled anything on any carpet, or torn or damaged it in any way, beyond normal 'walking on it' usage, and they billed us over $200 for "carpet damage". The funny thing is that my Mother is a complete neat freak, and she moved out of the apartments 3 months after, and guess what? She was billed over $200 as well. I guess it's a common good-bye present for all their tenants. My wife called and tried to talk to ---- the property manager, and she got so frustrated that she got to tears. She's a nurse, and is used to dealing with people, so this was very surprising to me, so I called ---- myself. When I asked her to work this issue out with me she said "I'm not hearing this." Yes, that was her professional position, believe it or not, that quote is verbatim. I kindly asked her for her superior's number, and she was more than happy to give it to me. Well, I have called that number many times, and the person I'm supposed to speak to is "always in a meeting", and if I leave a message, he never calls me back. This complex is crooked, and should be avoided at all costs. They will lie to you, and you will regret having ever moved there. Beware.

The owners of this place need to listen up and respond to what their Texas rent paying residents are saying. They need to hire a new management staff.
