With all due..."respect" ... to some of the other reviewers here, if you can't come up with something better than vile insults or crude cavespellings, I'm not sure your review is worth serious consideration. I'm just a resident who happens to take English seriously, but hey, call me strange.

I've lived in The Edgewater for a year now, and I came having read reviews like these and quite worried. I openly confronted the management about some of the reviews when I arrived, in fact. I'm not worried anymore - I love it here. I just upgraded the size of my apartment, in fact.

Some people comment on the smell from a nearby dump - frankly, in a full year (and I like my windows open) I never once smelled it. Maybe my sniffer's busted'

Other people talk about how horrible the management treats you. I had to call maintenance twice when I lived here - the first was dealt with the same day. The second, I got a call from the manager profusely apologizing for NOT giving me same-day service, and assuring me it would be fixed tomorrow... and it was! Any time I've needed anything, they've been useful and informative.

The management here IS strict on following the terms of the lease... and I say, God bless it! Yes, if you throw wild parties at 4am, you'll have a problem. Yes, if you like to leave four cars parked in the lot for a month, as if you own the place and denying other residents parking, you'll have a problem. If you enjoy throwing your trash outside in a big heap for a week, you'll have a problem. If you view your lease terms as a suggestion rather than a rule, you'll have a problem. If you don't like the fact that the management loves their complex so much that they live here too... and so, yes, if you love breaking rules loudly and flagrantly, they'll see it... you'll have a problem.

If, on the other hand, you're like me - just looking for a nice, relaxing place to live where you can lay your head down and get peace and quiet at night, this is heaven. If you're looking for a nice pool, modest work out center, and ample parking (I've never had to walk more than 20 yards at the worst of times) then this is heaven. If you're looking for a place right by lots of major shopping centers that doesn't cost ten arms and a leg, then this is heaven.

Basically, if you're a normal, respectable human being who has slightly more maturity than a college student and just want a place to be left in peace by neighbors and management alike (they've surely never bothered me even once!) then The Edgewater is absolutely heaven.

Want a party palace where you can turn the apartment into a squallor and binge all night long' Skip the Edgewater. Want a quiet place to maybe start raising a family or working on being a serious professional'

The Edgewater is your personal heaven. :)

Wow, the management finally figured out that their tenants have a forum to expose them and decided to write up a review. Used to live in this ant infested dump, and yes you can smell the dump. Obviously this person (assuming they are not management) is used to a lower standard of living. That's fine, I'm not so I left.

i think you are very right i kinda got scared from reviews about this and i move in soon but where i live now IS horrible and the people like it but thats only becasue they are druggies and party all night long and dont care about anyone .... i hope live by this guy writeing this haha
