I currently live at the Edgewater. I am moving, but I would definitely stay if I could afford to. The apartments are very nice on the inside and outside. The closets have plenty of space and storage, and I love the creek that runs behind the apartment complex.
There were a few major problems (no A/C in the summer, black sludge coming out the faucet) when I first moved in that were not fixed in a timely manner. I was very unhappy for the first two weeks that lived at this apartment complex because the management did not seem to have much urgency when it came to fixing the problems. The maintenance were friendly about the situation, but the management refused to reimburse me for the inconvenience, saying that "these things happen." I have made at least five maintenance request for my refrigerator. It grinds very loudly when the engine shuts off. Maintenance has come to fix it after every request, but it still makes the same loud noise. I just gave up on getting it fixed because it doesn't appear that they will replace it. There is a family that lives above me that walk very hard. Many times, they have knocked pictures down and rumbled the glasses in my cabinet. It seems as if the floors are very thin because I can hear each step they make.
I have also had damage done to my car because of children playing in the parking lot. The children are not mean or disrespectful; however, they need a place to play other than the parking lot. It is dangerous for them and for the cars. Each tenant gets one free covered parking spot; however, visitor parking is nonexistent! My visitors have to park five or six buildings down to find parking after 7pm.
Overall, I have had a few major issues to arise, but I have experienced much worse at other apartment complexes. The good definitely out weighs the bad. I feel safe here and overall, the apartment is well-kept.
