I moved into this complex while they were still building it. My roommate and I were able to pick exactly what we wanted (floor plan, color, etc.). The day we moved in, the apartment was wrong, it wasn't what we had signed for..this should have been a clue to get out. We stayed. We had problems from day one including the ice maker not working properly for a year, two fireplace leaking (5 times they tried to fix it), a pencil underneath our living room carpet, two different colored tiles in the entry way, sheet rock not finished to the corner of the living room wall, bathroom floor not finished to the corner...
I could go on and on.
When the fireplace leaked, it leaked into my closet and created black mold
(I sent it to a lab for testing).
I told the apartments and they ignored it.
The complex wouldn't fix any of the water damage in our apartment..that was the last straw. We finally moved after 3 months of hell.
