Just FYI to allof you that live here..or plan on living here. We didn't give them a "proper" notice to move out so they told us to move out we would have to pay 1800. Ok we met with them and had it all figured out. (We had a three bedrooom apartment)
Well they sent only ONE of us a notice stating that we now owe 8000 due a month from that date. Just ONE person was sent that notice. Just ONE. The other two of us had no idea. Nothing was sent to us.
All of the charges were ridiculous and they were trying to charge us for breaking oru lease, late rent for the month after we moved out etc.
We call and fought it. They made several errors, and have now bumped it down to 3000.We are STILl fighting this because there are still some crazy charges that we should not be accountable for. WE have contacted the corporate office and THEY have found a violation in contract so we are again working with them. We were great tenats. We were not late on rent, did not ever have any violations and never gave them any problems. If they tried to scam us out of money, imagine if you were a "bad"tenant. BE CAREFUL!

you should go to small claims court - it is a $60 fee but thats a lot less than 1800. If your college students - check and see if there is a lawyer on camopus who can help you - their services are free to students. I had something like this happen to me once and went to the lawyer on campus (UNT)to help me out.
