Unfortunately this complex suffers from Dr. Jeckle/Mr. Hyde syndrome. About half the time, the place looks nice, the smell from the nearby water treatment facility (mislabeled the dump for those who aren't aware of it's existence) comes and goes, and the apartments themselves aren't that bad looking.

The parking hasn't been as bad for me as others have complained about, and the extras almost make up for the short comings.

However, they are very prone to maintance problems and are poorly constructed. The walls are a little on the thin side, so depending on your neighbors it can be annoying. And the office staff is mostly friendly, however they book keeper is very rude and incompetent. To date they have tried to charge us late fees 4 times thanks to losing our rental check. I refuse to drop a check in the night drop box anymore and now require a recipt when I hand over the check to an office worker. Even through all this, they have lost another rent check.

The ground outside of most buildings is usually littered with dog crap and they way over water their sod, resulting in a muddy nightmare. I would not let my children play outside simply because it's unsanitary.

Another thing they do not tell you is they have an "exclusive" deal with DirecPath to provide your cable and internet service...this means that you can't get a decent high speed connection here. We're outside the Loop length to get DSL, TimeWarner won't come in thanks to that agreement (even though they have been declared illegal by the state in a court case...TW is taking a "wait and see" approach to it), and Verizon FiOS is supposed to be put in but that hasn't materialized since we signed up for it months ago.

Definately will not be renewing my lease when it's up, and would not recommend this apt complete to anyone.

There is DSL provided by VerizonVoyager that you can get at these apartments (you don't even need a phone line). FIOS was installed but because of the exclusive deal with DirecPath they can't offer it to the residents. This is a pain and reflects managements treatment of residents. The new management company has allowed the quality of everything to decline since they took over the property.

when the property sold the old management company Sentinel signed a 12 year contract with DirecPath so good luck trying to get anything else. Sure you can go with verizon avenue but speeds will barely be around 3 megs on the download. Sorry to say but that's about as good as it gets. Con Am Tried everything but they are stuck with a crappy dea.

It is most definately the city dump and not a water treatment facility. Check out the City of Lewisville's website if you're in doubt.
