I've added a few things to the list that I forgot to mention previously. Their move out fees are horribly expensive. Look at what happened to one lady on this site. She got hit with move out fees, cleaning fees that were not her fault, and a 4000 dollar penalty.
Here's how they work. If you have to move out before your lease is up.. you have to pay back all your specials in the past, which means your pro-rated amounts too. Then if you move out early, you get to pay 85% of the following month. And on top of that you have to continue to pay for every month that you should have stayed in the apartments finishing out the lease. That's why the girl got hit with a 4000 dollar penalty after she paid all her other fees. They're pirates that run this apartment (not the employees, the employees are cool .. I'm talking about the rule making owners).
======================================================= has a land fill. This is common in most cities. But it still sux, because when the wind is just right, it blows the smell of the landfill all over these apartments.
============================================ Creek is also not to far from the waste water treatment plant. So you get to smell all the yummy waste when the wind is right . . and I'm talking about human waste! Ever smell a ceptic tank when it over flows' So you can't have your windows open on cool days.
================================================== Creek Apartments are different because they have a hallway you have to walk down to get to eac apartment . . like a hotel hall way. So when people smoke as they are walking down the hallways the smell stays in the hallways. When you walk to your place, you get to walk in that smell and bring it in your place when you open the door.
=================================================== see what a few mean about parking, just drive around the place (wait for the gait to open), between 5 and 8 when people come home from work.
============================================== not let the attractiveness of these buildings (or leasing ladies) sucker you in. They're nice ladies, but too bad they don't make the rules.
======================================================= Creek does not have access to regular cable, you have to use
their private company that only supplies 18 channels.
========================================== Creek apartments do not allow cable internet because they do not
allow Comcast or Charter Cable to provide cable services.
========================================== Creek apartments constantly have dog crap all over the grass
because the lazy trash neighbors they let in now just don't care.
============================================== lawn crew just mows the dog crap into the grass.
============================================= have to make a small hike to your mail box.. all the mail boxes
are in the central office, so if you have an apartment on the far
end of the complex.. guess what.. yer walking.
=========================================== Creek will hike your rent at an enormous rate at the end of your lease.
============================================= just sucks at this place. There is 1 row of parking all
around the complex.. the rest of the parking is on the outside perimiter
of the area.. so most of the time you have to walk quite a distance
to get to your place. There are abandoned vehicles that never move,
and people pull their trailers up and leave them in the parking
spots.
================================== do not give residence even 1 covered parking spot, you have to
pay extra for just 1 spot.
============================================== are right next to the fire department and police department, so
you get to hear the sirens constantly.
======================================== Creek apartments allow the residents to put their trash outside the
apartments for pick up from maintenance. If you think just a little
you will know the problem with that. Trash days, this place looks
and smells like a land fill with every body's nasty garbage all
over the place getting blown around, I'll post pictures on this later.
============================================= you can't get normal cable tv you have to get an over priced
dish that locks you into an annual contract, and if you break that
contract with the dish you have to pay an extra expensive penalty.
By the way dish sux, I've had it.. cable is 10 times better and more
affordable and convenient.
======================================== you can't have cable internet.. you have to settle for 56K modem
speed computers, or over priced Verizon DSL with their constant connect problems.
I had no service after I signed up for about a week.
DSL is slower out here, because this area's phone lines are not optimized
for DSL performance. They've sent Verizon technicans out here
(they being Verizon) to see what the problem is, and problems never got
fixed, they just got ignored.. that's partly the apartments fault because
of the terrible phone lines, and partly Verizon's fault.. but the point
is.. you can not communicate when living in these apartments to the
outside world except by phone, so you had better get a good long
distance carrier.
=================================================== are light switches that do not do anything, tons of plugs, but not enough phone jacks in good places. And the phone jacks are inconsistant.. some have 2 phone jacks on one wall plate, others have 1.
================================================= is absolutely NO storage space in these places. I have a friend that lives in building 2, great LOOKING place, but when you settle in.. where do you put your boxes and stuff for your closets or attics' THERE ARE NO CLOSETS! In my place, I have 1 small door closet to hang my coats, and then a closet in my bedroom to hang clothes.. and that's it. So if you have a lot of stuff, you'll have to pay a big fee for their garage, or a U STORE IT type place. At first I did not have a lot of stuff, but over the years you buy things.. and over the years I realized I have no place to put things.
============================================ type of people they are allowing to live here now are ghetto and
getting worse. I've talked to my neighbors and they are leaving
because this place just seems to be going down hill more and more..
ever see RENO 911.. this is turning into that type of place with
those type of people.
=================================================== have a banner up saying 6 months free rent, but that's misleading.
They acutally have a drawing for only 2 people to win. And no one
really wins , they use that as a gimick to get people to move in here.
=================================================== you have already seen, apt. management will write reviews on here
about their own place.. and of course they will say good things.
=================================================== you can avoid it at all.. just avoid every Lewisville
apartment all together. They are all over priced and management in
all lewisville apartments are arrogant. There is not 1 apartment complex
in this GREAT city that is offering any specials. Yes, Lewisville
is an awesome city, but the apartments here unfortunately are all under
their own rule makers.
============================================ try to say a few good things about it... Albertson's is down the street across from the loud Fire Station . . . Block Buster is down the street.. but there are other apartments on the outside of Lewisville you may want to check out first... and as far as the employees here (not the owners) I don't see why people have a problem. They're just having to uphold the rules that are given to them, they don't make them. They're just working. Amber is awesome , and they just hired 2 new people that seem really cool. Unfortunately as I said, they do not make the rules. Amber remembers your name every time you see her and there are tons of people in these apartments. They do throw parties for their tennants all the time, and families might actually like living here if they have 2 incomes . . because it is that expensive.

I have no idea about what kind of apartments Hidden Creek are but I do know that area of Lewisville and the above poster is stating a blatant lie when he/she says the apartments are near a landfill and water treatment plant. That is just simply not the case. I've lived in Lewisville my entire life and can tell you with complete confidence there is neither of these withing 10 miles.

this user has a serious chip on his/her shoulder... 1) if you have a problem with the fees for breaking your least, then DON'T BREAK YOUR LEASE. don't sign a lease you can't live out. 2) the landfill is miles away from hidden creek, and if the wind is blowing right you can smell it from ANYWHERE in the city. the landfill is between 121 and 3040, not near main street. 3) i know of no water treatment facilities anywhere near hidden creek, and i've lived in lewisville all my life. 4) i will grant that you can sometimes smell cigarette smoke in the hallways, but that is going to be a problem at quite a lot of apartments, regardless of the presence of interior halls. 5) i currently get home from work at 5, and used to get home at 7, and have never had a problem finding parking at these times. in fact, most of the time i get the same space - right in front of my apartment. the only time i have had trouble finding parking is if i arrive home close to midnight. 6) friends of mine got the satellite TV service in lieu of cable and had no complaints about the channel selection, only the occasional loss of service. personally, i've lived without any TV reception for the past 5 years and am none the worse for wear. 7) mailboxes are NOT only in the central building. i live in building 7, and there is a mailbox center on the other side of building 6. there are other mail centers placed intermittently throughout the complex. 8) hidden creek only raised my rent $15 at the end of my first lease. 9) again, i've rarely had a problem finding a space close to my apartment. if you have to park on the outside row as opposed to the inside row, oh no! it's an extra 15 feet. someone's just lazy. 10) you have to pay for a covered parking spot because there is a limited amount of covered parking. i know of very few complexes that offer residents a reserved spot, covered or otherwise. 11) you cannot hear the sirens from the police/fire depts inside the apartments, only in the parking lot. and i don't know about you, but i LIKE being a nanosecond away from emergency assistance. 12) i have never seen more than 3 bags of trash on the corner on trash days. most residents just take their bags to the dumpster whenever, rather than wait for trash days. 13) while i did have problems with verizon's DSL initially, i'm now paying $30/mo for 1.5Mbps - pretty good deal if you ask me. also, hyperbole much? i spend at least 3 hours a day on the internet at home. i don't even have a long distance carrier. 14) there is a phone jack in every room, and i fail to see what difference it makes if there is one jack or two. do you NEED 2 phones in each room? and yes, every light switch does something, whether it's turning on a ceiling fan or a porch light. 15) the larger apartments DO have storage rooms on the patio. only the small 1-bedrooms lack one. but i don't know why you'd be moving into a small apartment if you have a lot of stuff. 16) i have been to several lewisville apartment complexes that are running specials. when i moved to hidden creek, i told them i was referred by a friend and they gave him a check for $500, in addition to taking $130 off our rent every month. now they only take $115 off. *alligator tears* rockbrook creek has some awesome specials right now also. 17) hidden creek is NOT that expensive. they're currently offering a 2-bedroom with 1277 sq.ft. for $950. |

You two are wrong also. There is a landfill about 3 miles from Hidden Creek, and the Water Treatment Plant is right down Mill St. which is 2 miles from where HIdden Creek is. If yall have lived in Lewisville that long you must live like Hermits because you have no idea what's in your own city. Lewisville is an awesome city, but EVERY SINGLE APARTMENT complex is run by crooks and liars. The original poster here was not far from the truth when dealing with all apartments in Lewisville. Buy a home or a townhome here, you'll be happier.
