i moved here straight out of college and stayed 2 years before moving to a more upscale apartment. hidden creek is great for people who are on a budget but don't want to live in a total slum filled with drug dealers and gangbangers. the staff has always been courteous and helpful, the apartments are well-built and easy on the eye, and maintenance does a good job of keeping everything working and looking nice. the rent is reasonable and they don't try to rip you off when you renew.

my only complaints are that none of the dog owners clean up after their pets - which is easy enough to avoid by simply using the sidewalk - and there are some areas which could stand more lighting, like the area nearest the front gate. on occasion i have come through the gate only to nearly run over someone i couldn't see because there were no lights. but my experience overall was very pleasant.

now that i've actually moved out, i should mention that they ARE trying to totally screw me on move-out fees. they want $420 to replace the carpet, when i know it would be pristine wiht a simple shampooing. hell if i'm paying them, though.
