Nice in the winter -- you'll broil in the summer

Two major complaints:

A/C doesn't cool my apartment (set on 79 over the summer, and by the end of the day, with it running all day, the inside temp would approach 90 degrees.) Management said the A/C is working normally, it was just a hot summer. Uhh, sure. More like the A/C units are undersized or ineffecient for the units (and I'm in a 1 br -- wonder what the two and three BR people were doing), or there is zero insulation. Never a problem with heating in the winter though.

My other issue was with water -- you get billed by a separate company, but my meter never reads correctly. I checked the inside meter (at the hot water heater), and it was always lower than the outside meter that is read by the billing company. I complained to the billing company, and they said to bring it up with the management office. I complained to the management office, and they said the billing company owns the outside meters. The girl also said she knew of several apts with bad meters, and adjusted my bill. I don't have time to visit the office every month to adjust my $33 water bill (I live alone).

Other than those two issues, LR is a nice place. The garages are a nice, and hard to find in the price range(although a tad narrow; mine is long enough to allow for storage at the end of the garage). The microwaves are small as someone else mentioned, but since I live alone, again, not too much of an issue. Crown molding and finish is nice. Cabinets look a little cheap, but they refinished my countertops before I moved in (although the finish is bumpy, like a textured paint, and a pain to write on). Finally, the new management company doesn't seem as sharp as the trio (Angela, Danielle, and Connie) that were there when I moved in.

So my suggestion' Sign a 8 month lease for the fall, winter, and spring, and pray for a working water meter. 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn
