I moved in these apts Jan 08. Since moving in I have had 15 work orders. From a toilet that flushes on its on to no electricity. My garage never works. Lights are like Im at a club always flickering. Since there are numerous power surges I am on my 5th microwave. I advised the leasing office that my TV was blown, they told me to claim it on my renters insurance. Which means I have to pay a deductable. I cant wait until my lease ends. You can rent at your own risk.

I apologize for the problems you've had due to acts of nature. As you are aware, your electric meter was possibly struck by lightening, not something we could control by any means. It did blow out your microwave and garage door, both of which we promptly replaced. This is the first I've heard about the commode that flushes on it's own, I will have maintenance check it out immediately. During the last storm, you reported another power outage and our lead maintenance could find no problems. As I told you, he called a licensed electrician who found no problem and even suggested you could be overloading circuits. The electrician suggested for future protection that we install a surge protector on the actual breaker box, which he did the next day. Your microwave has been replaced twice, your garage door opener once and the cirucit board in it once. After the first issue, I suggested you get surge protectors for any electronics, it is an inexpensive "insurance" policy. The resident before you did not have any problems with the electric or plumbing and I am truly sorry that you are. Please be assured that we will continue to promptly respond to all you maintenance needs and take action to make sure the same things don't happen in future. Sandie Meurer, Manager

Ah yes, that's the Lakepointe I remember.... Blame displacement is the name of the game!
As nice as Sandie tries to act on here, it's a far cry from the actual service provided and treatment dispensed to residents. I know from experience.

no joke... they accept responsibility for NOTHING! I love the "residents before you didn't have any problems" comments. We got that comment as well. Whether or not it is meant to, it implies that there is something wrong with you, the current tennant, and that is why your microwave and electricity is having problems, or it implies that you are making it all up... hmmm... and why would anyone want to make something up when its such a huge hassle when something does actually go wrong. anyway...
