Now, I have pretty high standards and get accused alot of being high maintenance and yes, a Princess, I initially signed a 7 month lease on 15G to be exact so I'm not accused of being "anonymous". I ended up extending my lease for another 7 months after my first lease expired. My 14 month stay at Lakepointe was for a lack of a better word, Fabulous. I had a very spaceous 2bed/2bath/2car garage. I LOVED my floorplan! Roomy kitchen, two balconies, dining area, good size living area with a fireplace, all my bedroom furniture fit Great in my bedroom (naturally I have alot of furniture), of course I had a garden tub. Any problems I had were quickly fixed by the friendly maintenance staff. I had a problem with some neighbors across the green way a couple nights which after 2 nights I solved by calling the police. They moved out shortly after. Btw, they have a courtesy officer living on property (face it you're going to have some "less than polite" neighbors once in a while) I had one other problem with my downstairs neighbor forgetting it was 3am on a Wednesday morning, (an unacceptable time to be partying it up on your outside patio) That issue was also resolved by our wonderful office staff ;) Parking can be a problem because alot of people don't park in or in front of their garages as they are supposed to per our lease contract. However, if you park where you're supposed to then you shouldn't have a problem personally with parking. I called the office to report a vehicle that had been parked in the spot right by my front door for over a week and the issue was resolved very quickly. I always had a parking space because I had a two car garage to park my car in, sometimes my guests would have to park all the way over by the mailboxes though. Safety is a big thing with me since I'm a female living alone, I never felt unsafe. I could walk my dogs at 11pm and not even think twice about it. Curb side trash pick up was great! I admit, being upstairs, my apartment did have some pretty high electric bills, however I reduced that issue by having a ceiling fan installed in my living area, an investment well worth making. They are vaulted ceilings and heat does rise.....My closet was my favorite part of my apartment....I miss it...every day. They have community events, Saturday breakfasts, dinners, movie nights, etc. Very community involved, I worked long hours and didn't get to take advantage of these amenities but I wish I had! The couple times I went to the pool it was clean and nice, as is the work out room. Amanda and Sandy are absolute sweethearts. Any time I had any kind of a problem they were always So willing to help me out with it. Plus it was nice to drop in with the dogs for a visit and see their smiling faces from time to time. I really wish it would have been practical for me to stay there but my job is in downtown Dallas and the commute was getting really old. So I ended up moving downtown. I completely enjoyed my experience at Lakepointe and would recommend them to anyone. I think living at Lakepointe was probably the best experience I will ever have living in an apartment. I miss you guys!!!!
I hope this helped if you're looking for an apartment. I know I use this site when looking for one myself.

I initially felt safe walking alone on property, but after seeing numerous police officers arriving to address problems and car break-ins, that was short-lived. Perhaps maintenance has gotten better since my stay - I had numerous problems that were never fixed properly, and ultimately cost me a lot of money. Sounds like you got lucky. The location of your best experience was by far the location of my worst. Sandie and her staff have turned me off of apartment living for good. I'm glad things worked out for you and hope that your downtown home is as enjoyable.
Raindust - You make two large and incorrect assumptions. The first is that you think all anonymous comments left in reply are by the same person. They are not. Though now that you mention it, perhaps we should start doubting the positive ones, too, then. The second is that all troubles that I had personally were reported in a professional and courteous manner. It is the office of Lakepointe that presented themselves as unable to do the same. The honey and vinegar metaphor, while colorful, does not apply here.

I'm not going to be worried with your threats of lawsuits. I have spoken my peace and you have read it. Me? I'm moving onward. This is beyond ridiculous.

Holy Crap....I post one positive review and check my email several days later to receive all these emails from apartmentratings.com telling me I have all these responses on my post and then I come on here to read it to come to one simple conclusion. Some of you people really could use a life. I mean talk about Petty.

Spare us the self-righteous indignation. Going online and telling people to get a life doesn't exactly make you appear to rise above.....

12C-I wasn't going to post here again but for clarity, I never threatened you with a lawsuit so you shouldn't have any worries. Amanda
