Pretty Nice, with few setbacks

It's a pretty cute place with affordable price. Staff is very nice. They do regular get together for dinners, and pool parties. Noise is not bad at all, but I just happen to live next to a musician guy who had live band practices at night. I asked him nicely to stop as I saw a real drum set in his room. He seems to moved practice somewhere else. Maintenance is great, they come and fix whatever it is as soon as they can, which usually is the next day or even the same day. They do regular pest control, smoke detector battery and air filter exchange. Very clean! People with pets pick up after them. Great location for department stores( Mall right there), grocery stores, and movie theatre. They also launched DCTA buses with the stop right outside apartment. Easy access to I-35.
Also there are NO KIDS at this apartments. Well, may be very few but I never see them. No annoying screams or anything.
Things I don't like is pool schedule: in winter time they keep pools locked, even though I was told hot tub should be available all year long. We grilled out before 10 pm and lady came out angry telling us to leave when I could not even finish cooking my chicken! After which they took away the grills. They don't want people in the pool area after 10 pm, but they put chains on the gates way before that! Also someone called cops on me for having friends over at 9 am. Noise complaint at 9 in the morning' On a Friday' We were not playing music or anything. May be since I live on the top floor, I woke someone up by having people walking all over the place. Then police reported to the office. That was uncalled for! But then again this was only one incident with a grumpy neighbor.
In the winter time, electricity is worse. The reason for that I think that heat is electric and water heater eats up so much energy. My water heater is outside in the balcony storage area, and to keep warm it I had to pay $200 one month (1 bedroom apt). Once I figured out the problem - I turned water heater off in the morning after I took a shower, and turned it back on before I went to bed. Saved me about 80 dollars per month. In the summer electric bill is very reasonable, especially for the 3rd floor.
