I have lived in Oak Forrest for 2 1/2 years and really enjoyed my time there. The price is definately right. I did have a little ant problem, but other than that, the office staff accomodated me well when I had a problem and always took care of maintenance things right away. I never felt unsecure or anything. It's city living, you have to be responsible. I did BTW get a lot of my deposit back WITHOUT walking the apartment with the manager, and ALTHOUGH my carpet was somewhat messed up. To all the people with so much negativity: get a live, stop whining and move out if you are unhappy. You always have a choice. I would recommend moving in.

I had an ant problem too (through no fault of my own, they were sugar ants looking for water), but they told me I had to take care of the problem myself. I didn't appreciate that at all, especially when every other apartment I've lived in took care of and prevented all pests.
