I will give my unbiased honest view of Oak Forest after living there for one year and moving out. I will start with the Management.

Management: There is no leadership in the management team to handle requests above having minor repairs done. I find that there were just 2 people on the management staff that REALLY cared about tenant requests. The other staff members seemed annoyed if you asked for something and made you feel like you were the problem. In one instance, I requested that management look into a tenant's dog that would bark all thru out the night, and I was told quite frankly that I would have to live with it. Not a professional or caring answer back ....

The Grounds/Condition of Apartment: I truly believe that Oak Forest makes it a standard now to keep deposits no matter what condition the place is in when you leave. I've consistently read on the reviews of people losing thier deposits when they leave, and that they have cleaned the place out well before leaving. In fact, I had marginal carpet that was installed in the apartment right before I moved in and stated that some areas were "bleached". I reported this defect and management told me not to worry they would clean it, which they did not. Then, at the end of the lease, they sited the same problem I reported as reasoning why I could not get my deposit back. Also, the stories about dog poop is not overblown, it REALLY, REALLY is bad and disgusting. Management also fails to address this issue. For grouds keepers to simply cut grass right over it and /or blow it in the shrubs in inexcusable.

In conclusion, I would NEVER recommend Oak Forest to anyone. You can find a better place to stay in Lewisville with a more professional and honest management team that really cares about its tenants.
