at the time i lived at the oaks of lewisville, they were owned by united dominion. we had a fine experience in the year we lived there, only when we moved at when our lease was up did we run into trouble with their "collection" people. they charged us outrageous fees for replacing a carpet that did not need to be replaced. when we called to dispute the charges, they claimed they now had no record we had even made some of our deposits or some of our rent payments. (even though there statement they sent for the carpet replacement, showed our deposits). Because of their accounting mistake, they were going to charge us more money to pay our deposits again. My roomate and I had to spend money to get our banks to pull our cancelled checks that we had to send to the company. When we tried to elevate our concerns to management, the person we were dealing always gave us the run around. United Dominion owns a lot of other property in this area so this is just something to consider before renting. I hope this was just a 1 time occurence and not the way they do business.
