We have been living at Somerset since February. Moving to Lewisville in a nice neighborhood should have kept the crime level to a minimum. WRONG! The apartment behind ours was broken into and robbed while the tenants slept. They ripped the screen off their patio and broke the glass on the sliding glass door. The cops banged on our door at 12:30 in the morning questioning us. We knew nothing and didn't hear anything. The next day, our neighbor was robbed at gunpoint in the breezeway. He's a big guy, so he jumped at the robber and they got into a fist fight, all the while my daughter and my neighbor's son were out there playing. I heard screams and went outside, saw what was happenning, grabbed my daughter and called 911. A week later someone pounded on our front door at 1 in the morning. I looked out the peephole and saw a man hiding behind the bushes next to the building across from us. My boyfriend went out with a knife and thold him to get the hell out of there. My friends cmae over to eat dinner and in broad daylight their car window was busted out and their stereo was stolen. Why isn't there adequate security on the property' Why do I feel unsafe walking to my car or walking to my door after work' It's ridiculous but yet I continue to have to pay rent that's as much as a house payment, an electric bill that would light the AA center and a water bill that would fill up a lake. All I ask for is maybe instead of funding an onsite carwash...spend some money on some security to patrol the grounds.

I've lived at Somerset for 4 years and have never seen anything crazy like the description above. I think Somerset is a great place to live and have never heard of any crime happening around where I live. There is no security but most of the apartment communities in Lewisville have no security. I can't explain the above description with my experience?
