I love my apartment! I love the location! I adore the maintenance staff! The only problem that I have with this property are the girls that run the office. The -----haired one ------------------------------------- doesn't pick up her dogs poop, is incredibly rude, and continuously loses mine and other tenants rent! I shouldn't have to worry about whether or not they received a check and be FORCED to pay fees when they lost my payment. The worst part is that there is nothing that I can do! I can write a letter or something to the owners, but------------------------ and I heard they don't even make her pay rent! It's unacceptable, not to mention unethical and borderline illegal! Isn't there something called Fair Housing Laws' I'm not an apartment expert or anything though. Bottom line, I cannot wait to move out of here. The only reason that I want to move is because of the office staff. They don't know what they're doing at all, and 8 other tenants that I know here agree and have had similar things happen to them. The old manager the left (I suspect it was because of how irresponsible and rude the other girls are) was very sweet and I never had a problem with her. I would only recommend living here to someone that I truly disliked.

You may think that the person that wrote this review is throwing a "little pissy fit," but I actually agree with them. I did not know the previous manager very well. She did however always follow through with her word and never lost my rent. The new girls in the office seem like they attack without provocation though. I personally have not received a bogus charge, but everyone else I know here has. I've begun keeping strict records just in case whether or not I paid my rent comes into question. As for the thing with the girls parents, my concern is who can I go to if they do mess up? Parents protect their kids and I think that any valid complaint against her would be null and void because her parents own the place. And whatever the girls dad did never had an affect on me. It's his personal life and I don't think it's our business to drag that into what was his professional life. It seems to me that whoever responded to this post has something personally invested in what was written in the review. It's just kind of defensive for a response from a resident. I'm a resident and reading it didn't make me angry like that. Regardless, I am looking forward to the term of my lease being up because I want to be able to trust that the people in the office are doing their jobs. And right now I don't. Nothing personal against them, maybe they just haven't been here long enough to learn the apartment business. Just a side note: If one of the people that works here is not picking up their dog poop, that's against city ordinance. I'd suggest picking it up before you get a ticket.

I have lived here for 2 years now and I would like to set the record straight...I agree I love the apartment, and I love the Location...I also really like the maintenance staff...but the only problem I have is when people have their little pissy fits, like the person above, they seem to think it is because of the office staff...Here is the deal the reason pissy fits occur is because the manager, prior to the two young ladies in there now, would bend the rules for her friends. Which i'm sure everyone that writes a bad review is just a little upset that she left and that they dont get their monthly hand-outs anymore..So I guess you are right she was sweet...The office workers now actually enforce the rules...which is the LAW stupid people...Oh and her parents arent an issue---------- who used to be the manager here, who also broke many rules, is our city council -----------------------. Who I heard Left his family for the old assistant manager here at this apartment that worked under him...literally...so you tell me who you would rather have taking care of your rent, someone who's dog poops on grass or somebody who breaks the law and someone else who fools around behind the wife in these very apartments...I think these workers are fine in my book...Since when is upholding the law and what is right a crime...if you dont want them to give you stupid late fees dont pay late...duh!!! And stop being jealous the previous manager also got her apartment free and I am pretty sure her mommy and daddy did not own these apartments it comes with the job...That's not illegal!!!

First of all, I would like to say that i have lived here for 6 months now, and i HATE IT. The office staff charges you heinous costs and loose your rent. Secondly, if i'm not mistaken, this is a website for rating an apartment complex, IS IT NOT???? I don't understand what District 5, himself has to do with any of this, my only conclusion is that whoever "READTHISCRAP" is, they must have personal involvement, possibly his DAUGHTER who is an employee and cannot post ratings or replies on this property. She took it personally when someone simply gave an opinion on the office staff, if this person is not office staff, why would they get so offended. I think this is just pittiful, i agree office staffs do what they can, but this here proves how tasteless Lubbock Lakeway's staff is. To actually say someone is haveing a "pissy fit"....WOW. talk about professional. I'm sure i'll get a reply correcting me and stating im mis-informed, but i know for a fact this is the ---- haired lady from the office. And her name is Sarah. My opinion: STAFF IS NOT ALLOWED TO POST, SO STOP POSTING AND DO YOUR JOB, MAYBE THEN YOUR RESIDENTS WON'T HAVE SO MUCH TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. Sincerely, AN UNHAPPY TENANT WHO IS MOVING AS SOON AS HIS LEASE IS UP...
