I signed my lease in Jan of 2005 so I could move in Aug of 05. It really isn't as bad as everyone says. Yes, I want to live somewhere else because I want somewhere different and newer. The only major problem my roommates and I have ever had is maintence. It does take a long time for maintence and you do have to constantly remind them but if you are friendly and congenial to the maintenance workers and staff in the office, you get your stuff fixed a lot faster. Roommate matching was not a big deal, we were called and got to talk to potential roommates, what people don't realize is that it is the new person's responsibility to call and meet with the people already in the apartment. If that doesn't happen, it's not the office's fault. As for cops, they are patroling, I know because I personally have been busted and I always see other people busted for smoking marijuana outside. Tammy is a little ineffective as a manager but in general, the staff is friendly. If you have noise complaints, call the office because if you do, they are taken care of. There is a police officer that lives on the grounds, he's not a security guard and TABC doesn't patrol very often. If you are nice and don't have complaints against you, parties and underage drinking will probably be ignored as long as it's not too too noisy and disruptive. The complex does have a no tolerance policy on drugs and if you are caught there is a lot of consquences, a guy in the apartment across from us was evicted for smoking marijuana. If there is a problem with drugs it is because it is done inside the actual apartment and you won't have your privacy invaded by people constantly knocking on doors to check and make sure there isn't any drugs. The complex can get noisy when there is parties and it depends on your neighbors on whether you can hear them or not...the guys downstairs play a lot of music with bass that shakes the floor of our 2nd floor apartment so that sucks but it isn't too big of a problem because it's during the afternoon. The parking situation I've never had a problem with, there is plenty of spaces for you and guests. I recently acquired a covered parking spot and the only compliant I have is people always parking in it and the office doesn't tow...kinda the same situation as the maintenance thing...I don't think that the space is worth $25 and I wouldn't waste money on it again. As for charges after moving out...I don't know, I can't say because I still live here. I read the reviews on here and thought that I should say something because people were making it sound a helluva lot worse than it is. Maybe they had a problem because they didn't clean and they did leave it dirtier than when they moved in or maybe they just have a grudge against the office. Yea, I don't think that this is the greatest place to live but it's not bad for a student and it's better than a lot of the complexes in Lubbock.

This person must work in the front office and get free rent to not have any problems.. and to write such a long review

I agree this person must be working for the Reserve. They Jewed me on my rent by charging me more than my roomates, and they charged us all 500 $ apiece at the end of the year for damages that were nonexistent. The rent may be cheaper than some places, but you will end up paying more in the end by their relentless Nickel and dimeing. Not to mention everyone who lives there is either in highschool or a cocaine dealer. Avoid this place like the plague.
