The Reserve is good to you before you sign the lease and about 2 months thereafter. They recently made updates to the exterior by paining the walls bright orange and beige and planting some dinky trees in the heat of summer (not sure who thought that one up, but it was probably the crazy landlady). However, they do not maintain the insides of the apartments. They have also completely converted over to web based transactions that charge a dollar every time you make payment, so if you need to pay in cash or check, you're out of luck. It's a very sketchy place to live as well. Don't be surprised when they decide to make additional charges or major changes.
During the week before finals, they decided to paint the apartments and repave the parking lot. Did not think this was going to be a big deal until I was awaken at 7am on a Saturday with a man peeking in my window and the loud noise of a surfacing machine. They could have simply waited two more weeks until finals were over, but I guess they were getting nervous about the other places opening up in town.
The maintenance men can enter your room whenever they want. On one occasion, after returning from class, I entered the apartment to find that while a modification had been made to the rooms emergency sprinkler, my permission had not been granted to enter the room, and my digital camera was missing from its dock. All of my roommates were out of town and both doors locked, but when I mentioned it to the manager, she did absolutely nothing about it. It seems as if they encourage the theft of their tenant's items to keep the maintenance men working for them.
This place is just too sketchy for me to recommend to anyone. Enter at your own risk, but don't say you weren't warned.
The price is attractive, the management is not.
